Coming of age is tough enough, but coming of age as the children of a well-known third-generation pastor in a small close-knit community is triple the burden it seems to 13-year-old Kaye Hawkins. And she's already concluded that if it's going to be as challenging for her as it is for her older brother, Buddy, she may well want to take an entirely new approach.
Kaye is witty and humorous, uncannily wise and deeply loyal. She is not someone you'll easily forget.
